About Milkwood House |

Opened in 1999, Milkwood House provides the highest standards of
residential care for the elderly. We have accommodation for 43 residents,
male and female, over the age of 65; as an EMI - registered home, we're
able to provide care for mildly confused clients.
We have 33 single and five double rooms, most of them ensuite and many
with terraces or views over the gardens, available on a long or short-term
basis.
Although the main building is fully equipped for wheelchair users with
a passenger lift to the first floor, Milkwood retains its distinctive
homely character throughout. We have a number of rooms in our recently-added
single-storey extension. All public areas are non-smoking.
As well as two large, comfortable lounges, we have a smaller sitting room/library
for quiet reading and other activities. Meals are served in our two dining
areas. Residents and their guests are also free to enjoy our beautiful,
extensive yet secluded gardens at any time.
Our highly professional care staff are on hand 24 hours a day to meet
all our residents' needs. We have an enthusiastic support team, providing
a broad programme of structured activities, including reminiscence therapy,
musical movement, flower arranging and other crafts, as well as a popular
annual fete, which residents can join in as and when they wish. The home
also has the use of a minibus and we organise regular outings and visits.
Milkwood House is the ideal choice for those seeking a calm, relaxed and
intimate atmosphere - in fact, a place you can call home.
